Seasons Finest

Whenever possible I utilise local seasonal flowers. Not only is it more sustainable but as we are seeing the price of imported flowers soar it means it is possible to keep costs of arrangements reasonable. Blessed with being based in the middle of a traditional flower growing area I buy from several flower farmers directly as well as utilising wholesalers that buy British.

Whilst we can source imported roses, freesias and many other blooms all year round buying local really celebrates our seasons. We start with fresh tulips and daffodils as early as December and then move on to pretty stocks and peonies in Spring to early Summer. These are then followed by cheerful sunflowers, zinnias, statice, dahlias and gladioli late Summer until the rich Autumn colours of chrysanthemums arrive.
All glorious in their own way!
